Last November 23rd 2015, we attended The Klimagune Workshop 2015 (Bizkaia Aretoa, Bilbao), a science-policy forum on Climate Change. This year, the sixth edition of the Klimagune Workshop was focused on the communication of climate science. During the Workshop, a fruitful discussion on the way the media creates public opinion on climate change took place. Interestingly, the Workshop was opened to scientists and professionals of communication (journalists, etc.). One of the points under discussion was the importance of providing journalists with rigorous but at the same time easy-to-interpret data on the threats imposed by climate change. Carlos Garbisu from our group made the most of this opportunity to discuss with some colleagues the importance of Observatories for Climate Change such as our Behatoki (i.e., our Microbial Observatory in The Pyrenees).
